Maurice Williams' blood pressure went through the roof, and consequently he had a stroke. He was shocked to learn how close he actually was to checking out. He accepted the fact that kidney transplant surgery was on the horizon. That's where the Transplant Institute at Largo Hospital came in. Finally, he received the news that he had gotten a kidney and underwent transplant surgery. He was overjoyed.

"I learned I was about to die, and I was feeling fine."
