The Clearwater ER is a department of Largo Medical Center. It is an Emergency Room that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week offering emergency care services including all the resources you may require in the treatment of acute care of serious illnesses or injuries. The 10,620 square-foot facility brings comprehensive emergency care services to more than 35,000 residents living closest in Clearwater and North Pinellas County.
When it comes to the Clearwater ER and the emergency care services it provides, it does differ from what you may have heard called urgent care clinics. The Clearwater ER is an Emergency Room staffed 24/7 with board certified emergency medical physicians and experienced nurses. This Emergency Room is designed and equipped to immediately treat injured people and those afflicted with acute illness, trauma, or other medical emergencies.
The Clearwater ER is NOT an urgent care clinic. Urgent cares are a category of a walk-in type clinic focused on delivery of care outside of a traditional emergency room. Those kinds of clinics primarily treat injuries or illnesses requiring prompt care, but not serious enough to require an ER visit. Many of those types of clinics are not open 24/7.
The Clearwater ER Features:
- 24/7 Emergency Care
- 12 patient exam rooms
- Dedicated critical care/trauma room
- Diagnostic imaging including CT Scan, Ultrasound and X-ray
- Laboratory Services
- 41 full-time employees
- 6 full-time on-site board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians
- Secure holding room
Clearwater ER is located at 2339 Gulf to Bay Blvd, easily accessible from US Hwy 19.
