Largo Medical Center is pleased to announce Courtney Stephenson, RN, MSN, NEA-BC as the new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at the hospital. Stephenson comes to Largo Medical Center from sister hospital's Medical Center of Trinity in New Port Richey and Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg where she served in two top nursing leadership roles.
“Courtney brings with her not just the talent of being a compassionate clinician, but a proven track record when it comes to improving the patient experience as well as employee engagement,” said Thomas Pentz, Interim Chief Executive Officer, Largo Medical Center.
Stephenson is heading up clinical and business operations over the emergency rooms at the hospital's three campuses, all nursing floors from orthopedics to cardiac and intensive care to transplant as well as the hospital's surgical department.

Stephenson started her career as a registered nurse at Medical City Fort Worth in 1996. Throughout her career, she has also served as a Director of Risk Management and Patient Safety, VP of Clinical Services, and an Associate Chief Nursing Officer.
