Largo, FL - As Pinellas County continues to see a growing need for additional behavioral health services, Largo Medical Center expands its intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs into the St. Petersburg area with TRANSITIONS – A Department of Largo Medical Center. The office is located at 2191 9th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL 33713.
“The design of Transitions is to provide patient care by offering support and the necessary treatment to assist in achieving better mental health,” said Ashley Muchnick, Behavioral Health Services Director, Largo Medical Center, “Physicians and staff will began seeing patients in the new facility this week.”
The intensive outpatient program can be an initial point of care, a step up from routine outpatient services or a step down from an inpatient stay or residential care. The partial hospitalization program includes group therapy with emphasis on mental health and coping. Individual follow-up will be provided by a Psychiatrist, Nurse and Licensed Therapist.
“Expanding this program into St. Petersburg provides the residents of south Pinellas County access to more behavioral healthcare services close to home,” said Anthony Degina, Chief Executive Officer, Largo Medical Center.
The other Transitions facility is located at Largo Medical Center’s Indian Rocks Road campus.
