It was a big night Wednesday, at Clearwater's Feather Sound Country Club, for Largo Medical Center physicians. During the Pinellas County Medical Association's annual installation dinner and awards banquet, Largo Medical's Chief Academic Officer, Anthony Ottaviani, DO, MPH, MACOI, FCCP was awarded Physician of the Year and 3rd year Internal Medicine Resident and Chief Administrative Resident, Marissa Bournique, DO was awarded Resident of the Year.
"These awards are evidence we do indeed have more minds advancing medicine within the graduate medical education department working to improve the quality of life for our patients," said Anthony Degina, CEO, Largo Medical Center.
Largo Medical Center's vision to be a nationally renowned academic medical center, always providing compassionate care and service doesn't stop here with these two clinicians. Among Dr. Ottaviani's lifetime achievements, he was recently awarded Citizen of the Year by the Central Pinellas Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Bournique was just accepted into the hospital's Gastroenterology Fellowship program for 2018.
