It is very important that you understand what your insurance covers and where you can go for care. Ultimately, it is your responsibility to know what hospital is your preferred provider.
- Always call your insurer to make sure your authorizations are in order and that your insurance approval is secured before your admission.
- Always bring your insurance card to Admitting when you come to the hospital. We make a copy of it so we can bill your insurer directly for your covered benefits.
Managed Care Agreements
Your insurer's name on this list does not guarantee that Largo Medical Center is your preferred provider. Managed care agreements change and expire, and additional agreements are added. It is imperative that you contact your insurer to confirm your coverage of services at Largo Medical Center and make sure that your insurer authorizes your hospital treatment before your hospital admission. Also, be aware that certain outpatient procedures are not covered under a hospital setting.
