Largo, FL If you have ever been in the hospital for a surgical procedure, you know part of the recovery process often times include rehabilitation. A doctor can prescribe outpatient rehabilitation for a patient in many forms. There is physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. Physical therapy and occupational therapy are now being provided at the NEW home of the Outpatient Rehabilitation program at the Largo Medical Center – Indian Rocks Road campus, putting all of the facility’s inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation needs at one campus. To complement our acute inpatient rehabilitation facility we will add Speech Therapy to our outpatient services to allow for a comprehensive rehabilitative approach.
The Center is staffed by licensed professionals experienced in their disciplines. They are sensitive to the needs and concerns experienced by people when their mobility or independence is impaired. Our staff works as a team with patients and their physicians to help achieve optimum benefits from rehabilitation, assisting patients in reaching their maximum functional potential to enhance their quality of life.
“Every single outpatient rehabilitation patient that comes into the Indian Rocks Rehab at Largo Medical Center receive one-on-one care from a licensed therapist,” said Tom Rowe, Director of the program at Largo Medical Center. “Patient treatment is based on medical necessity.”
Largo Medical Center's Outpatient Therapy Department is now located at Largo Medical Center – Indian Rocks Road. The address is 2025 Indian Rocks Road in Largo. Located on the first floor, Outpatient Rehab is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
