Blake Medical Center Welcomes New Chief Nursing Officer, Dana Asato
BRADENTON, FL – August 12, 2016 – Blake Medical Center has appointed Dana Asato, RN, BSN, MBA, CENP to be its new chief nursing officer (CNO).
In her new role, Asato is responsible for the overall direction of nursing services, provision of clinical care and program direction for the department of nursing in collaboration with physician and healthcare leaders.
“Blake Medical Center is lucky to have Dana join our team,” said hospital president and chief executive officer, Daniel Friedrich. “We are fortunate to have someone with her experience in this key leadership position and I look forward to working with her as we continue our focus on the exceptional delivery of nursing care.”
Asato comes to Blake from one of the largest nonprofit academic medical centers in the U.S., Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, in Los Angeles. She has held many leadership positions including that of CNO, Critical Care Services Director, and Director of Emergency and Cardiovascular Services. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, from the University of Cincinnati and a Masters of Business Administration from Walden University. Dana is also a Certified Executive in Nursing Practice (CENP), through the American organization of Nurse Executives.
