Largo, FL - If you or someone you know is having circulation issues, Largo Medical Center continues to be the place to get treated. The hospital is opening an ALL NEW Interventional Vascular Lab. In this lab, physicians can treat their patients who have vascular conditions ranging from diseases of the veins, arteries and lymph vessels to blood disorders that affect a person’s circulation.
“Largo Medical Center continues to recognize the need for and implement the use of diagnostic techniques, using state-of-the art, leading-edge technology,” said Anthony Degina, CEO, Largo Medical Center. “Some of this lab’s incredible technology includes tools specifically developed for the treatment of peripheral vascular disease and for use in interventional procedures that are ancillary to the heart.”
Some of our area’s most well-respected cardiologists, cardiovascular thoracic surgeons, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, electrophysiologists and other specialists will be using this lab.
“A highlight of all the new high-tech imaging is that it includes a low dose radiation viewing system with 3-D capabilities,” said Brenda Simpson, Chief Nursing Officer, Largo Medical Center. “It will minimize risks for our patients by giving surgeons access to the vascular system of veins, arteries and capillaries like never before.”
